WINTER GETAWAY PACKAGE

Outdoor enthusiasts have been visiting  Wellsboro for decades to enjoy the area’s pristine natural beauty. Whether it’s kayaking along Pine Creek in the spring, biking the Grand Canyon’s Rail Trail in the summer or hiking through the spectacular fall foliage, Tioga County has much to offer the avid outdoorsman.

But locals know the outdoor experience does not end with the first snowfall. The county offers almost 30 miles of maintained cross country ski trails, as well as 60+ miles of suitable trails along the bottom of the Grand Canyon.  Tioga State Forests offer approximately 177 miles of snowmobile trails, open to registered snowmobiles after the close of deer season in mid-December. For maps of the region or additional information, contact the PA Grand Canyon Snowmobile Club. For downhill skiers, there are two ski resorts within 30 miles of downtown Wellsboro; Ski Sawmill in Morris, PA, and Ski Denton in Coudersport, PA.

The Tioga County Visitor’s Bureau also offers a number of guided winter excursion packages covering a wide variety of outdoor winter activities, including cross country skiing, snow-shoeing, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, ice climbing and hiking. Country Ski & Sports, located just across the street from the Hotel, offers all of the tools you’ll need to enjoy the outdoors, including cross country ski rentals.

Tioga County features two wonderful golf courses and the Penn Wells can offer you a package at either course. All packages at both courses include one night's lodging, dinner and breakfast in the Mary Wells Dining Room, green fees and cart. Tax and gratuities not included.

The Tyoga Country Club is one mile west of Wellsboro. It is an 18 hole, par-71 course that is rated 4 stars by Golf Digest Magazine.  Packages start at $117.50 per person double occupany.

The Corey Creek Country Club is 14 miles east of Wellsboro. It is a scenic 18 hole, par-72 course.  Packages start at $105.50 per person double occupany.
