Our main dining space is the Mary Wells Room, named for one of Wellsboro’s founding citizens. The restaurant provides a classic fine dining experience in a space that carefully incorporates the history of Wellsboro and America. The Penn Wells culinary team presents a diverse menu including the highest quality steaks and seafood in the area, house-made soups, unique fresh salads, and much more.
Lunch at the Penn Wells features a large selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Try our Penn Wells Signature salad, a Cobb Salad, or one of our grilled paninis for a special treat.
At dinner, delicious appetizers prepare patrons for popular entrees such as our Penn Wells Crab Cakes, Chicken Parmesan, Parmesan Crusted Haddock, Chipotle Seafood Pasta, and our selection of choice steaks. Our Friday night Fish Fry, a regional tradition, features either broiled or fried haddock, and Saturday is Prime Rib night at the Penn Wells.
Sunday Brunch at the Penn Wells has long been a cherished tradition for visitors and locals alike, and our live music from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. makes it even more so. Enjoy eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, pancakes, French toast, eggs benedict, and biscuits and homemade sausage gravy, as well as our made to order omelette and waffle stations, fruits and salad, and our decadent dessert table. Add a bloody Mary, mimosa or champagne cocktail to get the day off to an even better start.
