Project Description

Little League World Series and Museum

Bring the family to north-central Pennsylvania and enjoy all the natural beauty the area has to offer.

Every August, teams from around the world travel to South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to participate in the Little League World Series. The Series is televised on ESPN and many other media outlets, but it’s also a wonderful opportunity to bring your family to north-central Pennsylvania. Take in a few ball games, visit the World of Little League® Museum and Official Store, then enjoy all the natural beauty the area has to offer.

The World of Little League® MuseumThe World of Little League® Museum, completely renovated in 2013, traces the storied history of Little League through unique artifacts, audio and video kiosks, and interactive exhibits. There are two theaters and fun hands-on displays to keep visitors of any age entertained, like the amazing Global Connections Touch Table. See how fast you can travel from home plate to first base on the running track – a re-creation of the first base line at Lamade Stadium, where the Little League World Series games are held. Check out the thrilling action of past Little League World Series championship games on a touch screen monitor. The museum also boasts the most complete, game-used Babe Ruth uniform in the world. A self-guided walking tour of the World Series Complex is available, as well as audio guides in several languages. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily with the exception of Easter, Thanksgiving, Dec. 24 and 25 and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

The Little League World Series and museum are great for the whole family. Lodging fills up quickly, though, so why not get away from the crowds and traffic and extend your trip just an hour north to stay at the Penn Wells. Wellsboro offers lots more family-friendly fun for you and the kids!
