The Penn Wells sits on the eastern edge of the Pennsylvania Wilds region.

The Pennsylvania Wilds region, a 2-million-acre, 12-county area in north-central Pennsylvania known for an abundance of beautiful wilderness and fun outdoor activities. Each county in the region offers unique natural attractions, such as the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon; Cherry Springs State Park, home of the darkest night skies in the East; Little Pine State Park, featuring miles of prime Pennsylvania hiking; and Gobbler’s Knob, home of the world’s most famous weather-predicting groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil!

Visitors to the Pennsylvania Wilds experience a break from civilization, without casting off all the amenities it provides. Stay at the Penn Wells and take advantage of acres of forests, rugged mountain trails, and streams teeming with fish for the catching. Hunters will find deer, elk, bears, and a variety of fowl.
